LA FIGC CONDIVIDE LE NUOVE NORME FIFA CONTRO IL RAZZISMO: IN VIGORE DAL 1° LUGLIO

La Figc condivide la linea dura della FIFA contro il razzismo e dal 1° luglio, con l'avvìo della stagione sportiva 2006/2007, le nuove norme saranno applicate integralmente nei campionati italiani: l'obiettivo - ha confermato oggi il Consiglio Federale - è quello che regole uguali in tutto il mondo costituiscano un elemento determinante a sconfiggere un fenomeno odioso e totalmente contrario allo sport.

REVISION OF ARTICLE 55 OF THE FIFA DISCIPLINARY CODE: NON-DISCRIMINATION (Circular No. 1026)

FIFA has always taken its role in combating discrimination of any kind very seriously. Despite this fact, there has been a surge in discriminating gestures and language at football matches in recent months. At its meeting on 16 and 17 March 2006, the FIFA Executive Committee therefore decided to take vigorous action against this deplorable trend and to impose harsher sanctions than those hitherto pronounced under article 55 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code (FDC).

COMPETITION: COMMISSION MAKES COMMITMENTS FROM FA PREMIER LEAGUE LEGALLY BINDING

The European Commission has adopted a decision under EC Treaty competition rules that renders commitments from the FA Premier League concerning the sale of media rights to the Premier League football competition legally binding. The case concerned the agreement between the clubs participating in the English Premier League competition to sell media rights to that competition jointly through the FA Premier League. These commitments, which will remain in force until 30 June 2013, will increase the availability of media rights, and improve the prospects of competition in providing services to consumers
